The SMRC is working in collaboration with Cristiano Ribeiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Project Lamb. Project Lamb focuses on
providing knowledge and faith to those in need and fighting against poverty. They reach out to children who are at risk, whether it is through crime,
drugs, violence, and other dangerous situations. Several field trips that focus on education and faith are available for the children who live in the
favelas, the ghettos in Rio. Project Lamb focuses on helping families get back on their feet financially, teaching these kids about the world around
them and the hope for a better future, expanding the knowledge of these kids through cultural field trips, and providing clothes, school supplies, and
supplies for hygiene for the entire community. We, as SMRC representatives, have been working on local projects here in Atlanta and raising money to
obtain these tangible items for the kids who are experiencing these difficult situations. We will continue raising money to send over to Rio to help
build a school that these children can access. Anything helps, including school supplies, clothes, basic necessities. The SMRC is also trying to raise
enough money to send a member over to Rio de Janeiro to work hands-on with these children and help build the school. If you would like to contribute to
this cause, your donations are appreciated. Please just email us at gtsmrc@gmail.com and donations can be sent over to Cristiano's Project Lamb.
